This article makes her sound harsh and unsympathetic to the students needs. But still I don't think its serious enough to get fired.

I do not feel the parents should have a say as that would be detrimental to the educational system as a whole.

I think if a teacher physical or emotinally scars a student then a certain protocol of investigation needs to be followed. But we need to see both sides. Students of course should be heard clearly and parents have the right to stand up for their kids. But teachers have a tough job to do and they should also have a chance to say their side of the story.
