Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is a desert country that covers almost the entire Arabian Peninsula. It is the homeland of Islam religion and Mecca is the destination of many worshippers that usually also encompasses the burial site of the prophet Muhammed. The capital, Riyadh looks like an ultramodern metropolis that little has to do with the Islamic symbolism and it is this ‘contradiction’ that attracts many expats from all over the world. Saudi Arabia can be a challenging country to visit but it is also filled with wonder and is defined by many as the last frontier of tourism. Saudi Arabian territory is mainly desert and mountains.

Its economy is almost totally based on oil and gas production and trade. Despite the difficulties in obtaining the permits to live in the country, eight million foreigners live in Saudi Arabia.
